Celebrate!!

March 13th marked a milestone for the twins and for Ava. The twins turned one month old and Ava turned 22 months old. What a Zing life has turned out to be at the Schmidt household. We are amazed at how time has flown by and yet right now during this season of sleep deprivation...time is in slow motion. We have changed approximately 840 diapers...480 bottle feedings....85 loads of baby laundry...85 baths....ALL in the last 28 days. Although our life has a very rigorous and busy schedule, we made time to take some pictures of our three very precious children to remember this special time. We celebrate today and everyday that we can care for and love our children. Soon time will speed up again and we will be sad that it went by so quickly.

Ashley and the Twins

Ashley came over to see her new siblings and to give Ava some sisterly lovin'.

My Mom, Sister and the twins

My sister Jan brought my Mother over to see the twins last week and although she is in the later stages of Alzheimer's, she still remembers how to hold a baby and sing them soothing songs. She was very happy to hold them and she was emotional about leaving that day because she wished she could see them more often. She said if she could drive...she would come and hold my babies everyday. I know if she was in better health, that she would!! Oh, how I miss my Mother. I am grateful to be able to see her and see glimpses of the Mom I grew up with. Cherish your time with loved ones.

Finn and Parker

Butch and Terri and the kids brought over dinner to us last Sunday evening and we enjoyed a bottle of wine, a fabulous fish dinner and a house full of little ones. Parker is Butch and Terri's youngest at 3 months old and Finn is 3 weeks old in the above photo. Finn has some catching up to do!!!!

Oh the thinks you can think!

Ava trying on her new Easter outfit and reading her new Dr. Seuss book "Oh the thinks you can think." I sometimes wish I could have a glimpse into what she is thinking when she is pretending to read. She jabbers along like she is saying some important stuff.
